Grease meets Last of the Summer Wine in this parody of Grease set in a British retirement home, written by our own Hayden Smith.
Set in the Rydell Retirement Home in the UK, Lard tells the story of the antics of a group of Grease obsessed retirees in a 80s-90s BBC sitcom style. With the songs that you know and love from Grease given some tweaks to fit the setting, and a bit of a twist on the story telling, we keep the musical magic of the source material while telling a new story within it's walls. It's vintage fun, pure chaos and sing-a-long gold.

Juniors & Chorus: 7-8pm: Sing through songs and a chat about what to expect from the show.
Principal auditions: 8-9:30pm: Read through audition scenes and singing as required. We will get through these as quickly as possible, but please be aware that, depending on the number of auditionees, this may change. We will try to keep people updated throughout the process. If needed, we will hold callbacks.
Our 2027 pantomime is the tale of Rapunzel. Expect fun, frolics and a lot of hair jokes.

On Stage:
If you have the urge to join us on stage then you are welcome to come and join us at an audition and try your hand. If you don't fancy being up front, then you can also join our chorus in pantomimes and musicals.
Off Stage:
There's also a lot of work that happens off stage as well. With costuming, set building, lighting, sound, music and stage management being part of the list. So if you fancy getting involved but don't want to be on the stage get in touch and see how you can help.
